The pizza was okay. We ordered a cheese pizza with sun dried tomatoes. They didnt deliver bc we were exactly 1 mile away and they don't come out this far. The pizza was ready at the time we came by to pick it up. The bread is good, but the sun dried tomatoes in the pizza were super burnt. Not crispy, but black burnt! From experience making our own pizzas, we know u should put the sun dried tomatoes as the very last ingredient bc it will burn, apparently they didn't know that. We politely called just to give them feedback on the issue and they put me on hold for 5 minutes before I decided to hang up... When we went to pick up the pizza there were only 4 people eating there. I am still not sure why i was put on hold for so long.

We got a coupon deal for them as we have for several other area eateries, but they skated around taking them and were a bit rude with their explanation. We found another pizza place that would honor the coupons even though it wasn't their coupon so we know which pizza place deserves our loyalty.

This place really went down hill after ownership changed a few months ago. Pizza quality has fallen off and forget about being helped at all.

New ownership... Pizza tastes so different. It's not good. Papa johns is better and that's sad.

This place had some pretty good pizza. In fact all of the food was tasty except the cream cheese bites. Those things were a soggy mess and the strawberry icing is kind of gross too. We had "The Boss" which was good and the cheese sticks which was good. The reason for the two stars is a place this size should have there website put together better. The site is super clunky to order through, menu is not up to date, and the pricing is more expensive. I saved a couple of dollars calling the store and ordering more food for a cheaper price. This type of business makes me not trust them very much. Update : Tried this place again to give them another chance. I ordered the "The Rat", which sounded good with extra cheese, cheese sticks, and the brownie bites. Sounds good, right? I was so wrong! The pizza was over cooked, and the cheese on top was hard. The cheese sticks were delicious and probably the best part. The brownie bites sounded good but when we finally started eating them they were almost bland. I say almost because the bites tasted a bit like the pizza. Mafia Mike's seems to think that by heating up some Hershey's chocolate syrup would fix the bland brownies but it didn't. My son wanted the cookies more than the brownie bites. The delivery driver was nice but creepy at the same time. I assume the buffet is good because they have to bake fresh pizzas all the time, but I won't be ordering anymore from this place.

The daily lunch buffet (11:00 am - 2:30 pm) was very good. You seat yourself, get your drink, and pay as you leave. I visited early on a Friday, and the place started to fill around 11:30 am. The pizzas had plenty of cheese and toppings, with a very good hand-tossed crust. You can always request your favorite pizza. The salad bar was extensive, and offered MANY choices. The pizza bar and salad bar were kept well-stocked. "Buy one buffet get one free" coupons are available if you live in the area, like I do. Otherwise, I believe the buffet price was $7.49, which is still reasonable.

Walked in at 11:30 am and there were no customers in the place and no pizzas up on the buffet and it didn't look like any were being made. Upon seeing us walk in, a guy came out of the kitchen and we asked if there was a buffet today. He muttered a yes so we sat down and he went back into the kitchen. We waited 5 minutes but nobody came out for drink orders or to tell us we could at least get started on the salad bar. The tv's werent on either and it just felt weird. We didn't have a lot of time for lunch and they weren't ready for customers at 11:30, so we left. Have been there many times before and the pizza buffet was good with other people eating in there, but they must be running other people off too. Disappointed ...

Our flying club met at Mafia's again this month and I'm still a fan. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The salad bar is clean and stocked well. Everyone has a different pizza recipe - from dough, to sauce, to toppings. I believe everyone's idea of "best pizza" is totally subjective based on personal taste preference. Mafia's pizza tastes very good to me. I like Papa John's and Pizza Shoppe, while Pizza Hut ranks much lower due to taste. I would put Mafia's a close second to Papa John's and tied with Pizza Shoppe. Another positive is that Mafia's has a pizza buffet at a reasonable price. Although I haven't visited Mafia's except for our club meetings, I expect I will be visiting much more come October, when my company is moving to an office nearly across the street from Mafia's. I plan to bring my co-workers with me!

Still one of the best places to come for pizza. They have the right recipe for our taste buds, plenty of flavor without being a salt bomb. (Ever go for pizza then spend the night getting up to drink glass after glass of water?) Whenever we go somewhere else we always compare their pizza to Mafia, and most come up short. Try the Mike's All Meat specialty pizza, lots of meat without being overwhelming or excessively greasy. And can I say how much I appreciate that they send coupons out all the time? Thanks Mafia! Without those to tempt us we probably wouldn't come as often as we do!

Came in at 1 for the buffet, they had two pizzas up, that looked like they were there for awhile. The nice girl at the counter asked what pizza they could make for me. I waited 15 minutes for it. It was very greasy and lots of cheese, it was ok not good not bad. Bathroom is pretty bad, there's a leak and smells like mold. Buffet with drink came to 9.70 a little too expensive for what you get!

I've given this place 3 chances in the last month. They've disappointed me 2 out of the 3. Every order was their free online delivery option, which is nice except for the "online fee." The 2 bad experiences were from the same order; pasta and wings. Delivery time is 45-60 minutes but both times they were about 15 minutes late. The worst part is that they didn't even bother to give me a fork or napkins with my pasta! When I confronted the delivery driver about him being late and there being no fork, he simply smirked, said a few words, and turned back and got in the car and left. The only decent delivery was one pizza. Other than that, I feel like they could do a better job with adding some more flavor on their food. It all tasted fairly bland.

I'm sorry for the poor folks who think this is NYC-style pizza. I imagine you've never been to NYC or anywhere close to it, so you don't quite understand what NY pizza is like. In general, not even close to NY style pizza. It reminded more of Dominos pizza more than anything. The crust was not crunchy as others have claimed - perhaps you have to order it well done to get that. I ordered mine with extra sauce and I don't think they did that, so I can't imagine what it would be like if I didn't order it that way. The sauce is on the sweet side, which is okay, but not my style. The crust was medium thickness as others have claimed, but again NY style is super thin until you get to the edge crust. I'm a pretty tough critic when it comes to pizza as it's one of my favorite food items, so if you're a Dominos fan, you'll probably ignore me and love this place, but if you're from the Northeast or Tri-State where we know how to really make pizza, you may not like this place. Nothing terrible about it, but I've had better at so many place I can't even count.

Food is excellent. However they can never get an order right and the last time I ordered there was a big piece of metal in my pizza. I really hope they can figure out how to run it better because I love the pizza.

I've ordered their take out pizza several times and never disappointed. My fav is the grilled chicken, broccoli & artichoke with pesto sauce...so savory and delish!!

Nice neighborhood pizza place! We really enjoyed the pizza and the service we received from the Mafia. We had the Boss and it was awesome! Loaded with toppings--a lot like Tim's Pizza as far as toppings go. The salad bar was really nice too and so were the fresh baked cookies.

Liked the chicken alfredo pizza, with a good crust and a pleasant white sauce, not greasy-oily at all (as it can be at some places.) They also have a nice variety of veggies & yummies on the salad bar. We stopped in fairly late, but the staff was pleasant & accommodating nonetheless, even though they probably wanted to just lock up & go home. (As a result of the hour, we didn't linger; they cheerfully boxed up the second half of the pizza for us & we enjoyed it the next day.) Overall, high marks! We'll be back!

When we arrived the waitress left us cooling our heels at the table for about 10 minutes before finally taking our order. Once we got the food it was hard to stay grumpy - the marinara sauce was outstanding, and the pizza was very good. All told, it was nowhere near as bad as we were expecting based upon our first impression.

SO YUMMY! I loved their selection of pizza toppings, it made it easy to get exactly what I wanted. Our server was super friendly as well. I definitely enjoyed my experience and I will be back!

Really nice place! The owners are absolutely so conscious & welcoming! The pizza is a thin to med crust. good flavor. But the cheese is mozzerella & provolone mixed. A little different.

This might be the worst pizza I have ever had. It was burnt, the sauce was only in certain areas. It tasted horrible. I also ordered cheesecake, which I thought would be my salvation. It was completely frozen to the point where I could not eat it.

Solid New York pies. Tuesday $12.99 for 2 larges and fast service/free delivery make them a winner. People giggle at the name when I mention it but love the pizza when they get it. Nice work all around.

Quick review. Mafia Pizzeria is the same pizza run by the same folks as Mafia Mike's in Lenexa. I love their pizza, so I decided to order some for work and have it delivered. Long story short: the pizza was great - just as tasty as the original in Lenexa. My co-workers loved it. The delivery time was not bad. My only little complaint is when ordering the pizza on-line, it was not exactly user friendly. Maybe it was my old browser, but it took quite a while for me to find and order what we wanted. Again, good service, great pizza. Maybe next time I'll just call it in. So, overall, it's really a 4+ star review for the Mafia. Better on-line ordering would give it a perfect 5 stars.

Been here twice now. FIrst time, they totally screwed up one pizza and completely forgot to make the other one. No apologies, no discounts, not even a visit from the manager. I am not very confrontational. Second time, again they screwed up the 1 pizza we ordered and brought to the table a pizza I would be ashamed to serve at home no less at a pizza restaurant. Soggy, thin crust that you had to eat with a fork. No way you could pick it up. Again, no apology, no discount and no visit from the manager. Very, very poor way to run a business. Also, one of the servers kept blowing his nose and, not washing or sanitizing his hands, continued to touch the food. Made me a little sick to my stomach. I think two times is fair and have been disappointed both times.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
